AI Scribe is getting two big updates
AI Scribe keeps improving based on what practitioners like you tell us, and this update focuses on two of those things: being able to start recording your notes faster, and making it easier to refine your notes to exactly how you want them.
There are two main changes with this update:

Record first, set up your template after
AI Scribe used to ask you to pick a chart template before you could hit record. Now you don’t have to. Just open a chart, hit record, and you can choose your format once the draft is already underway. By removing this extra step, you can start recording your chart notes quicker and easier.

Highlight a note with AI to make a change:
Editing a draft chart note used to mean going through it line by line. Now you can highlight any part of a note and just describe the change: shorter, more detail, different structure… anything. This works on notes and on notes you typed out, so it’s useful even on the days you don’t record or dictate.

Allergies now have a dedicated home
Patient allergy information is the kind of thing you need to find in seconds, not search around for. It now has a section built for exactly that.
Allergies used to live as a free-text note pinned to the top of a patient profile, making it tough for practitioners to search through chart notes and intake forms to find critical patient info.
They now have their own Allergies section on the Medications tab, with allergy information captured as structured fields instead of a paragraph.
With this update:
- Details like allergen, reaction, and severity are captured and easily viewed
- Severe allergies are sorted to the top, so the most critical information is the first thing you see
Clinic Financing is available for Canadian clinics
Whether it’s a bigger space, a second location, or a little extra budget to hire a new practitioner — if growth has been waiting on funding, Jane can now help you get there.
We’ve partnered with Stripe to bring Clinic Financing by Stripe to Canadian clinics using Jane Payments. Stripe reviews your Jane Payments activity and sets your offer.
