AI Scribe Free gives you five notes per month at no cost, so you can try out AI Scribe and build your templates before committing to a paid subscription. If it feels like a good fit, you can upgrade to unlimited notes for 15/month per practitioner.
To check whether AI Scribe Free is enabled on your profile, go to a patient's Chart tab and click New Chart Entry. If AI Scribe Free is enabled, you'll see Smart SOAP Note in the dropdown menu.
If you don't see Smart SOAP Note, AI Scribe Free is not enabled on your profile. You'll also see an option to Get Access to AI Scribe Free in the dropdown menu.
Option 1: Grant or Remove a Staff Member's Access to AI Scribe Free
A Full Access user can grant or remove a staff member's access to AI Scribe Free.
- Go to Settings > AI Scribe.
- Scroll down to the list of staff and click the dropdown in the Subscription column next to the staff member's name.
- Select the access level:
- None — no access to AI Scribe
- Free — 5 notes per month at no cost
- Unlimited — unlimited notes for 15/month per practitioner
- Click Save, then click Confirm Changes.
What to Expect
The staff member's subscription updates immediately. They can begin using AI Scribe Free right away.
Option 2: Request AI Scribe Free Access
If AI Scribe Free is not enabled on your profile and you are not a Full Access user, you can request access.
- Go to a patient's Chart tab and click New Chart Entry.
- Click Get Access in the dropdown menu.
- Click Request Access.
What to Expect
Full Access users at your clinic will receive an email letting them know you'd like to use AI Scribe. From there, they can enable AI Scribe Free on your profile.
Important Notes
- Your five free notes refresh every calendar month, not 30 days after you opt in.
- A cancelled or failed upload does not count towards your five notes per month. Only successfully generated chart drafts count.
- Once you've used all five notes for the month, the option to record or upload a recording to your Smart SOAP Notes will no longer appear. You can wait until the following month when your notes replenish, or a Full Access user can upgrade you to AI Scribe Unlimited.
- Upgrading from AI Scribe Free to Unlimited is not automatic. A Full Access user must make the change manually.
- If you sign up for AI Scribe Unlimited partway through the month, your charge will be prorated. If you cancel partway through the month, you will be credited for the remainder of the month.
