Giving staff access to AI Scribe
You may notice a new Get Access button when you go to make a new chart entry. Give it a click and follow the prompts to get to your Settings > AI Scribe page.
If you prefer the direct route or you’ve dismissed the message in your New Chart Entry dropdown, you can head to Settings on the top blue bar of Jane and select AI Scribe on the menu to the left.
Next, click the drop-down menu next to a staff member’s name and select either the Free or Unlimited plan.
Once you’ve made your selection, be sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.
Requesting AI Scribe access
You may notice a new Get Access button when you go to make a new chart entry.
Click the blue Request Access button, and Full Access users will receive an email letting them know you’d like to use AI Scribe. From there, they’ll be able to opt you in.

Will I be automatically switched to AI Scribe Unlimited?
No, it’s up to you if you’d like to upgrade. You can take your time using AI Scribe Free to see if you like it. If you decide it’s a good fit, a Full Access User can upgrade you to AI Scribe Unlimited anytime. We won’t make the switch for you, and there’s no pressure to upgrade.
What happens when I use up my five free notes for the month?
Once you’ve used all your notes for the month, you’ll notice that there’s no more option to record or upload a recording to your Smart SOAP notes.
You can either wait until the next month when your five free notes will replenish, or you can upgrade to AI Scribe Unlimited.
How do I know how many notes I’ve used?
You’ll see a counter of how many notes you’ve used when you click the microphone icon on a Smart SOAP Note (this is the chart part that AI Scribe works with). Learn more in our guide.
If my upload is cancelled or fails, does that still count towards my five notes per month?
No, a cancelled or failed upload won’t count towards your five notes a month. We want you to get the most out of AI Scribe Free and get a good sense of how it can help with your charting, so only successfully generated notes will count towards your total.
Do my five notes per month refresh 30 days after I opt in, or do they refresh every calendar month?
