Prompts
Do I have to use the default prompt?
No. The default prompt is set up to generate SOAP notes, but you can edit it or replace it entirely. Some practitioners use prompts that aren't SOAP-based at all. Check out our AI Scribe: Sample Prompts guide for inspiration, or experiment with your own.
Can I search for AI Scribe templates?
Yes. In the Template Library, choose your discipline, then click the Any Features dropdown and select AI Scribe. Jane will show you all templates tagged as Scribe-ready.
Can I use AI Scribe for only some parts of the note?
Yes. Once you've finished recording or uploading your audio, you can edit any part of the generated chart draft manually. Some practitioners use AI Scribe for subjective content only and add objective notes themselves.
Recordings
Can I upload multiple audio files to one chart entry?
Yes. You can add multiple recordings to a single chart entry, one at a time. Each recording is summarized and added below the existing chart draft content. Nothing gets overwritten.
Does AI Scribe work for Telehealth appointments?
Yes. AI Scribe works with Jane's 1:1 Telehealth appointments. Check out our AI Scribe for Telehealth guide for more details.
Can a staff member run AI Scribe for multiple patients at the same time?
Yes. You can run AI Scribe across multiple patients at the same time, as long as each patient has their own browser tab open. Keep in mind that only one session can actively record at a time. Pause the current recording before switching to another patient's tab.
