Jane users really are an amazing community! There are a number of generous practitioners who have worked to build fantastic templates in Jane and have shared them with our Library.
To access the Template Library, head over to Staff the tab and select your name from list in the left sidebar menu. With your profile opened up, click on the Templates tab and then on Template Library.
Pulling in Templates from the Library
Once you have accessed the Template Library, from your staff member profile, you can filter the templates by Discipline.
You can also use the search field to search a specific phrase like “Exam form” or “Back Pain.” Or try out the other filtering options listed in the drop-down menu.
To see if a chart template will meet your needs, click on the template title to view it.
Once you’ve decided which template aligns with what you’re looking for, you can click the blue Add button to pull it into you Jane account.
You’ll see all the templates listed along with all the other templates created across the clinic within the Templates area of your Staff Profile.
You can Edit the template any way you like - this does not affect the version that’s in the Template Library. Delete, add, alter - make it your own! Be sure to visit our handy guides on Creating a Chart Template.
Sharing your Template
Once you’ve created a template you can contribute to this resource pool! There’s a button at the bottom of your template that allows you to Share in Jane’s Template Library.
When sharing your template you can assign it a discipline, choose whether or not to share your name as the author, and add any notes about how the template can be used.
Additional Notes
Can I remove a template from the template library once I share it?
You sure can! The author of the chart will be able to delete it from the template library by going to the template library, searching for the template, and clicking the Remove From Library button at the top.

Not seeing the Remove from Library text? This may mean that it’s a bit of an older template and we’ll need to delete that on your behalf with the permission of the listed Account Owner. You’ll just want to reach out via [email protected] and we can get that removed for you 💙
