How to Export Your Psychotherapy Notes

Staff Access Level: All levels (feature must be enabled by Account Owner)

Psychotherapy Notes can be exported per patient directly from the chart, or as a batch export of all your notes across all patients.

Option 1: Export a Patient's Psychotherapy Notes

To export your Psychotherapy Notes for a specific patient, follow these steps. Once the export is ready, you can download it as a CSV or PDF file.

  1. Open the patient's profile and go to the Chart tab.
  2. Click Psychotherapy Notes.
  3. Click the export icon in the Psychotherapy Notes panel.

  1. Select either CSV or PDF.
  2. Click View/Download to save the file to your device.

What to Expect

The export opens in a new tab. All of your Psychotherapy Notes for that patient are included in the file.

πŸ“£ Heads up: It is not possible to export a single note or filter by date range. All Psychotherapy Notes for the patient are included in every export.

Option 2: Request a Batch Export of All Your Psychotherapy Notes

πŸ“£ Heads up: Only you can request a batch export of your own Psychotherapy Notes. This export cannot be requested by an Account Owner on your behalf.

To export all of your Psychotherapy Notes across all patients, follow these steps. Once the export is ready, a secure download link is sent to your email address.

  1. Go to Settings > Psychotherapy Notes.
  2. Click Send Export Request.

What to Expect

The export can take up to 24 hours to process. Once ready, a secure download link is sent to the email address on your staff profile. The link expires after 7 days. The CSV file includes the content of your notes, the timestamps for when they were created and last updated, and the information needed to match each note to the correct patient profile.
