How to Edit or Delete an Allergy on a Patient's Profile

Staff Access Level: All levels (with access to the patient's chart)
Jane Plan: All plans
Add-on Required: No
Geography: 🌐 All geographies

Instructions

To update or remove an allergy on a patient's profile, follow these steps. All edits are applied immediately.

Option 1: Edit an Allergy

  1. Open the patient's profile and select the Medications tab.
  2. In the Allergies section, click the three dots next to the allergy you want to update.

  1. Select Edit.
  2. Make your changes and click Save.

What to Expect

Your changes are saved and the allergy entry is updated immediately in the Allergies section.

Option 2: Delete an Allergy

📣 Heads up: Deleting an allergy permanently removes it from the patient's profile. This action can't be undone and the deletion won't appear in the activity log.

  1. Open the patient's profile and select the Medications tab.
  2. In the Allergies section, click the three dots next to the allergy you want to remove.

  1. Select Delete.
  2. Click Confirm.

What to Expect

The allergy is permanently removed from the Allergies section of the patient's profile.
