Jane's Guide

Here's all the help you need to use Jane.

Setting up a Supervisory Relationship

Let’s walk through how to set up a supervisory relationship between staff members. We’ll go over adding multiple supervisors and supervisees, plus the optional signature setting.

Setting up a supervisory relationship

To start, head to Settings and select the **Supervision tab.

Please note: if you don’t see this tab under your Settings, you will need a Full Access user to help you create the Supervisory Relationship.

From there, click Create Supervisory Relationship to set up a new relationship.

On the next page, select the supervisor from the first drop-down. Then select the staff members they’ll supervise and click Save.

Once the supervision relationship has been established, Jane will display the details in the bottom right of each staff profile.

If you’re setting up multiple supervisors for one supervisee, you can repeat this process until your supervisee has all of their supervisors linked.

Optional signature setting

By default, a supervisor’s signature is required on all of their supervisees’ charts. If a supervisee won’t need all of their charts signed off on, then you can disable that setting. Then, the supervisee will choose whether to send their chart to their supervisor on a chart-by-chart basis.

First, head to the supervisee’s staff profile and click Edit/Settings under their name.

Next, select Permissions & Commissions.

In the Supervision section, you can un-check the box labelled Supervisor signature required on all charts and save your changes.

Now when the supervisee clicks the Sign button on their charts, they’ll be able to choose whether or not to request a supervisor’s signature.
