Before you get started, make sure you have the following set up:

Instructions

When a connected clinical integration sends data to a patient's chart, such as a treatment plan or exercise program, the next step is to review it. To review and add this data to a patient's chart, follow these steps. Once complete, the data appears in the patient's chart the way you choose, or is dismissed entirely.

  1. Go to the patient's profile in Jane.
  2. Click Chart under the patient's name.
  3. Look for the message: "Items from your integration are waiting for your review. Add what you want to keep in the chart."
  4. Click Review.

  1. Review the content in the panel.
  2. Click Dismiss to skip charting this data, or click Add to Chart to continue.

If you click Add to Chart:

  1. Choose Create new chart entry or Add to draft entry.
  2. Click Add to Chart.

If you chose Add to draft entry, a dropdown menu of your draft chart entries appears.

  1. Select the draft entry the data should be added to.

What to Expect

If you created a new chart entry, the data is saved as a new entry in the patient's chart, ready for you to edit or sign. If you added it to a draft entry, the data appears inside that existing draft.

If you dismissed the data, no chart entry is created, and the data remains saved in the connected integration.

Important Notes

  • If you need to make a change while data is still waiting for review, go back to the connected integration and update the plan or program. The updated version syncs back with an Updated badge instead of appearing as a separate item to review.
  • Once data has been added to a chart or dismissed, later changes to the same plan in the connected integration do not update the existing chart entry. A new item appears for review instead. Only data still pending review updates with the Updated badge rather than appearing separately.
