Getting Started
Before you can add a medication to a chart entry, the medication must already be saved on the patient's profile. Check out our guide on How to Add Medications on a Patient's Profile if you haven't done that yet.
Instructions
To include a medication in a chart entry, add the Medication chart part to the entry. Jane pulls the patient's active medications so you can select which ones to document.
- Open the patient's chart entry.
- Add the Medication chart part to the entry.
- In the panel on the left, select the active medications you want to include in the entry.
- Click Add to Chart.
What to Expect
The selected medications are added to the chart entry and saved as part of the clinical record.
Important Notes
- Medications can't be added to intake forms. Staff must add them manually to the patient's profile before they can be included in a chart entry.
