Instructions
To transcribe a Telehealth appointment using AI Scribe, follow these steps. Once the transcription is complete, AI Scribe will generate a chart draft using the template of your choice.
📣 Heads up: AI Scribe transcription is only available for one-on-one Telehealth appointments. Group Appointments are not currently supported.
- Join your Telehealth appointment as usual.
- Click the Transcribe button at the bottom of the screen to begin transcribing.
- Once transcription starts, a recording symbol appears in the upper-left corner of the call. Your patient will see this symbol too.
- When you're ready to end the call, click End Call.
🩵 Jane Tip: You can stop and resume transcription at any time during the call. Click Stop to pause, and click Transcribe again when you're ready to continue.
What to Expect
After the call ends, AI Scribe processes the transcript and prompts you to select a chart template or add the summary to an existing chart draft. You can choose a template or draft immediately or return to your patient's Chart tab later to select one. See our guide on Selecting a Template after a Telehealth Appointment for next steps.
Important Notes
- AI Scribe works regardless of whether your patient joins from the Jane Mobile App for Patients or from their web browser.
- Your chart entry will include a text transcript only, with no audio file attached. You can download, copy, or delete the text transcript from the chart entry.
