Where is my data stored if my clinic is based in the UK?
For clinics based in the UK, your data (including recordings and generated chart drafts) is stored on servers located in London, England. Your data does not leave the UK.
Is AI Scribe compliant with UK GDPR?
Yes. AI Scribe for UK clinics has been built with UK GDPR compliance in mind. Session recordings and clinical chart drafts are special category health data under UK GDPR, and processing them for the purpose of direct patient care falls under Article 9(2)(h). Your data is held in the UK and is not used to train AI models. Jane is committed to supporting your UK GDPR obligations as a clinic.
Make sure your own privacy notices and consent processes reflect your use of AI-assisted charting. Your regulatory body may have specific guidance on this, so it's worth checking.
How do I get consent from patients to use AI Scribe in the UK?
The principles are the same as elsewhere. Transparency and informed consent are key. Let patients know before their appointment that you use an AI-assisted tool to help with clinical charting, and give them the opportunity to ask questions or opt out. You can use Jane's intake forms to capture this consent. Your professional body may have specific guidance, so it's worth checking with them too.
