There are more moving parts to running payroll than most people expect. Behind every payday is someone calculating hours, generating pay stubs, and sending payments. And until now, that was a manual task done mostly outside of Jane.
Jane Payroll is now live for Canadian clinics, letting you pay employees and contractors, handle CRA remittances, and generate T4s without leaving your Jane account.
We shared all the details in our latest product updates newsletter, where we also touched on a few other announcements, including:
- Jane Payroll helping you pay your entire team from one place
- ePrescribe coming to US-based practices
- TrustDrivenCare integration for smarter patient communication
- Cyberimpact integration for email marketing
Here’s everything we shared in July’s newsletter. If you’re new to Jane and a certain feature or update has piqued your interest, reach out. We’d love to show you around.
🇨🇦 Jane Payroll is here for Canadian clinics
You can now pay your entire team, right from Jane.
If you’re already tracking compensation and timesheets in Jane, payday used to mean jumping into a spreadsheet, sending e-transfers, or logging into a separate payroll tool just to get your team paid. With Jane Payroll, everything happens in one place.
It handles:
- Paying employees and contractors in the same pay run
- Hourly, salary, or commission pay, however your team is set up
- CRA remittances (income tax, CPP, EI), calculated and filed automatically
- T4s and T4As, generated and filed for you at year-end
- Direct deposit setup and pay stubs, right in each staff member’s Jane profile
Here’s everything you need to know about Jane Payroll.
Jane Payroll is available now as an add-on for clinics on Practice, Thrive, or Legacy plans across Canada (excluding Quebec) for $40 CAD per month, plus $6 CAD per active team member on payroll. There’s no setup, migration, or year-end fees, and no long-term commitment.
Want to talk it through first? Book a call with our payroll team and we’ll walk you through what it’d look like for your clinic.

🇺🇲 ePrescribe is coming for US clinics
Our US-based ePrescribe feature has officially received its Electronic Prescribing for Controlled Substances (EPCS) certification, and now we’re working on getting it in your hands.
Jane’s ePrescribe is built on DoseSpot and runs on the Surescripts network, so prescriptions go straight from your chart to your patient’s pharmacy.
We’re piloting the feature with a small group of clinics to help shape the experience before it opens up more widely. If you want to get in on the action, you can fill out our early access form, and we’ll reach out later this summer.
Jane is now integrated with TrustDrivenCare
Staying connected with patients between visits takes more than a reminder text. We’ve partnered with someone who gets that.
TrustDrivenCare (TDC) is a patient communication and CRM platform built by Josh Satterlee, a practicing chiropractor and longtime member of the Jane community. With this integration, your patient and appointment data connects directly from Jane into TDC. No separate list to manage or export by hand.
With this integration, you can:
- Have two-way text conversations with patients: follow up after a visit, confirm a detail, or answer a quick question
- Reach the right patients at the right time with smart lists built from appointment history, lapsed status, or service type
- Send automated appointment reminders and targeted email and SMS campaigns
To get started, go to trustdrivencare.com and sign up for an account. New TDC customers who use Jane pay $49 total for their first 3 months. 🎉

Send smarter emails with Cyberimpact
Marketing takes time most clinics don’t have. That’s why we’ve integrated with Cyberimpact, a Canadian email marketing platform.
Cyberimpact helps you create, send, and track newsletters, reminders, and campaigns without pulling patient lists by hand. Once connected, your Jane patient data flows into Cyberimpact automatically. From there, you can build segments by appointment history or service type, and set up automated reactivation campaigns and rebooking reminders that run in the background while you focus on patient care.
A few things worth knowing:
- Available on all Jane plans (Cyberimpact requires its own subscription)
- New customers get 20% off their first 3 months
- Built with Canadian email marketing compliance in mind
Want to see the integration in action? Cyberimpact is hosting a webinar for Jane users in September, walking through how to set up the integration and get the most out of it for your clinic. You can register using the link here.

Honourable Mentions
- 🇺🇸 Jane Payroll is coming to the US: Jane Payroll is heading south of the border, giving US clinics one place to pay employees and contractors directly in Jane. Join the waitlist to be among the first to get access as we roll it out.
- Date of birth now required at sign-up: New patients creating a My Account profile will now be asked for their date of birth. It’s a small addition, but it adds a stronger layer of identity verification beyond email alone, and helps cut down on duplicate profiles.
- AMEX for Jane Subscriptions: You can now use your American Express card to pay your Jane subscription. If you’re an account owner and you’d like to update your payment method, head to Settings > Jane Subscription > Update Credit Card.

Charging What You’re Worth: Pricing Yourself Fairly and Sustainably
Many practitioners land on their rates by guessing, matching whoever’s down the street, or charging what they figured people would be okay with. Then those rates stay put for years while everything else quietly goes up. This month’s Ambassador Office Hours gets into the money conversation a lot of clinic owners keep pretty quiet. Our guests get real about the signs their pricing had drifted out of line with their worth, how they closed that gap on purpose instead of in a panic, and the exact words they use when they tell an existing client a rate is going up.
Front Desk volume 7 is now available online
If you’ve been loving the latest issue of Front Desk magazine, you can now dive into the digital version wherever you are. Here’s what’s inside this month: - Why SEO still matters (and matters more) now that AI is changing how patients search for care. - What “luxury” really looks like in health and wellness, and how small details shape the client experience. - Whether hiring a coach is actually worth it, and how to tell if it’s right for you.
That’s all for now ✨
If you have thoughts, questions, or ideas you’d like to share, reach out any time. We’d love to hear from you. 💙
Until next time,
