Getting Started

Before you get started, make sure you have the following set up:

  • Eligibility - Confirm your clinic meets the requirements for Reserve with Google, including plan, location, and Google approval. See Who Can Use Reserve with Google?
  • A Google Business Profile - You need a Business Profile with Google that you own and manage. If you have more than one location in Jane, you need a separate Business Profile for each location. Google recommends this setup, and Jane matches each location to its corresponding Business Profile.

📣 Heads up: Google matches your clinic name, address, and phone number between Jane and your Business Profile. If these don't match exactly, the integration won't work.

Instructions

To set up Reserve with Google, follow these steps. Once complete, your Business Profile displays a Book Now button that takes patients directly to your Jane Online Booking Site.

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Scroll to Reserve with Google and click Manage.
  3. Check the box confirming that your clinic's name and address match your Google Business Profile.
  4. Toggle on Reserve with Google.

What to Expect

Once enabled, Jane sends your latest clinic information, including the treatments you offer, to Google and automatically turns on booking functionality.

Within 1 to 3 business days, a Book Now button appears on your Business Profile when patients view it on Google Search or Google Maps. On mobile devices, patients also see a list of your bookable treatments, synced automatically from Jane. Treatment lists are not available on desktop.

The Book Now button can also appear in your Google Ads campaigns, not only when a patient searches for your clinic directly. This happens automatically once the integration is enabled and doesn't require any additional setup in Jane.

📣 Heads up: If you don't want the Book Now button to appear in your Google Ads campaigns, you'll need to remove the Partner Bookings conversion action from the relevant campaigns or from your entire Google Ads account. This is managed directly in Google Ads, not in Jane. See Google's guide on removing the Partner Bookings conversion action.

Important Notes

  • Patients can't book directly through Google. The Book Now button takes them to your Jane Online Booking Site to complete the booking.
  • Only treatments that are bookable online appear in your Google listing. You can't selectively hide individual bookable treatments from the listing, and you can't hide a treatment's price from the listing if Display Price on Online Booking Pages is turned on for that treatment.

  • Google requires treatment names to follow proper capitalization and punctuation, and they can't contain emojis, URLs, email addresses, or phone numbers.
