Question
If I connect Google Analytics (GA4) using the Google Tag Manager integration, what will I see in GA4?
Answer
Once you connect GA4 through the Google Tag Manager integration, Jane sends booking conversion data from your online booking site to GA4 automatically. The following standard GA4 reports become populated with booking data.

Traffic Acquisition shows which channels drove patients to your booking site and which generated the most revenue. You can filter by source, including Google Ads, organic search, Meta Ads, and direct traffic.
Ecommerce Purchases: Item Name breaks down purchases by specific item, so you can see which treatments, gift cards, and packages are driving the most revenue through online booking.
Ecommerce Purchases: Item Category shows revenue grouped into three categories:
- appointments booked
- gift cards purchased
- packages purchased
Ecommerce Purchases: Item Affiliation is most useful for multi-location clinics. It shows which individual location is driving the most bookings and revenue.
Sales Overview shows your overall ecommerce performance: total revenue, number of transactions, and average order value.
Demographic Details shows the geographic breakdown of patients and revenue. The default view is by country, but you can look at the region or city. This is particularly useful if you run location-targeted ad campaigns.
