Getting Started
Before you get started, make sure you have the following set up:
- Google Ads Conversion Action — You'll need a conversion action configured for a server-side setup in Google Ads before connecting it to Jane. How to Set Up a Google Ads Conversion Action
Instructions
To add a Google Ads tracker to your Google Tag Manager integration in Jane, follow these steps. Once complete, your Google Ads campaign will be listed on the Google Tag Manager integration page.
- Go to Settings > Integrations.
- In the Google Tag Manager integration, click Get Started.
- Click Add a tracker.
- Choose Google Ads.
📣 Heads up: You can only have one conversion action linked at a time.
- Enter your Google Ads Customer ID. To find this:
- Log in to your Google Ads account.
- Copy the 10-digit number in the upper right corner of your screen.
🩵 Jane Tip: When entering your Customer ID in Jane, the hyphens will be removed automatically.
- Enter your Google Ads Conversion ID. To find this:
- In your Google Ads account, go to Goals > Summary.
- Click the down arrow next to your conversion goal.
- Click on the conversion action you created.

- In the browser URL, copy the 9- or 10-digit number after "ctId=".
- Enter a Conversion name. This is how the campaign will be labelled in Jane.
- Click Next.
- Grant Jane's server access to your Google Ads account by following the steps in the pop-up.
- Click Done to close the pop-up.
What to Expect
Your Google Ads campaign name will be listed in Settings > Integrations > Google Tag Manager. Conversion and ad attribution data will be sent to Google Ads within 24–48 hours of adding your tracker.
Important Notes
- Jane strips PHI and PII from all patient data before it is sent to Google.
- You can only link one Google Ads conversion action at a time.
