What Do Documo Fax Error Codes Mean?

Question

What do the error codes on a failed Documo fax mean?

Answer

Error codes indicate why a fax failed to send. Here are the most common ones:

  • 6100: A busy signal. This is the most common error.
  • 8000 series: A connection failure from either the sender or recipient. Resend the fax. Failed faxes do not count toward your monthly page limit.
  • 5000 series: An issue with the document being faxed. Contact Documo at [email protected] for assistance.
  • Net::HTTPForbidden: Your Documo trial has ended. Select a new plan using the link in the reminder email from Documo, or go to the Billing tab in Documo and select the Jane plan.
  • Caller ID is not allowed: This typically appears after changing or porting your fax number. Go to Profile Name > Your Settings > Fax > Fax Caller ID in Documo and select the correct number.
