Instructions
You can add and manage address book contacts in Jane two ways: from Settings, or while sending a fax. Once added, a contact is saved for future use so you don't need to re-enter their information each time.
Option 1: Adding a Contact from Settings
- Go to Settings > Address Book.
- Click New Entry in the top right corner.
- Select Person or Organization.
- Enter the contact's name, email, phone number, fax number, and address.
- Click Create.
π©΅ Jane Tip: Keep names short. The First Name, Last Name, and Organization fields combine into one field on the fax cover sheet, and anything over 40 characters is cut off.
Option 2: Adding a Contact While Sending a Fax
- Go to the patient's charting area.
- Click the drop-down arrow next to the chart entry you want to send.
- Select Fax.
- In the Recipient Name field, press the space bar to bring up existing contacts.
- Click Add New Entry to create a new contact.
- Select Person or Organization, enter their details, and click Create Contact.
What to Expect
The contact is saved to your address book and available to select the next time you send a fax to them.
Important Notes
- You can import contacts into Documo directly by uploading a CSV file through Documo's address book. Check out Documo's guide for details.
- Jane does not pull contacts from Documo. If you've faxed a contact recently, Jane auto-completes their information when you start typing their name into the Recipient Name field.
