How to Add a Google Analytics Tracker

Staff Access Level: Account Owner
Jane Plan: Legacy or Thrive
Add-on Required: No
Integration: Google Tags
Geography: Available in all regions

Instructions

To add a Google Analytics tracker to your Google Tag Manager integration in Jane, follow these steps. Once complete, your GA4 account will be listed on the Google Tag Manager integration page with the date it was added.

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. In the Google Tag Manager integration, click Get Started.
  3. Click the Add a tracker button.
  4. Choose Google Analytics.
  5. Enter your GA4 Measurement ID and click Save.

🩵 Jane Tip: If you already have the standalone Google Analytics Integration connected, your measurement ID will be pre-populated here for you. If you want to track a different measurement ID, you can enter it instead.

What to Expect

Your Google Analytics GA4 account will be listed on the Google Tag Manager Integration screen with the date it was added. Booking data (stripped of PHI and PII) from your Jane account will be viewable in your Google Analytics account.

Important Notes

  • Jane strips PHI and PII from all booking data before it is sent to Google.
  • Jane sends booking data to GA4 automatically. You don't need to set up or configure events manually in your GA4 account.
  • This integration is not connected to the standalone Google Analytics integration in Settings > Integrations. They work independently of each other and can run at the same time.
  • It can take 24–48 hours for data to start appearing in Google. If your data isn't populating as expected after 48 hours, please reach out to us.
