Jane Payments: Powered by Stripe

April 22, 2022

Hey Jane community,

We have an exciting introduction to make… (feel free to do a little drum roll here 🥁😉)

Meet the new and improved Jane Payments, powered by Stripe! 🎉

Before we go on, we want to reassure everyone currently using Jane Payments that nothing will change for you unless you want it to. You’re in the driver’s seat here. We’re just opening up a freshly paved lane that you can drive down if you choose. Now, let us tell you why we think you’ll love the new route. 🚗

A fork in the road

The payment processing roadmap has been re-written again and again over the past 10 years, not only for Jane but for the payments industry as a whole. When we first started down the path of offering integrated payment processing, it looked very different than it does today.

We introduced a new payments terminal in 2020 with the hopes that we could eventually unify all of Jane’s payments solutions under one processor. Doing this would make payouts and reporting much more convenient for all of you and give us a louder voice with which to negotiate lower rates.

Along the road, we’ve discovered that consolidating payments with Stripe will allow us to offer the best value to Jane users. Stripe already powers the online side of Jane Payments, so we have a great foundation with them, and we can’t wait to continue building on that to provide you with the best payment solution possible.

If you’ve purchased and are using another integrated payments terminal with Jane, we’re committed to supporting that for as long as it feels like the better option for you.

Let’s drive off into the sunset together

Why are we so excited about our new, unified Jane Payments solution? Well, not to toot our own horn, but we know it’s going to make payment processing so much easier for all of you.

Another reason? This is just the beginning! The more Jane users we have processing payments through Stripe, the better Jane Payments will be. This is because more users = 📣 a louder voice with which to advocate for everything you need: lower rates, quicker payout turnaround, and more features!

Here’s what we know you’ll love about the new, unified Jane Payments:

  • 💸 One payout schedule for your online and in-person payments: let your clients pay however they prefer and keep your cash flow on track.
  • 😅 Simple, consolidated payment reporting directly in Jane: one quick and easy report that you can use to reconcile your payments, without having to go back and forth between statements!
  • 🕵️ No hidden fees: you’ll only pay the promised rate per transaction, with no added or hidden fees.
  • 🤝 A single terminal that can deposit to all your practitioner’s bank accounts: say goodbye to that sea of terminals (and to running around looking for the right one).
  • 🖥️ Use online payments to require a card on file for No Shows, a pre-appointment deposit, set up an automatic Membership payment, or have invoices sent and paid securely via Jane’s client portal!

Coming soon:

  • 💳 Use your Jane Payments Terminal to store a client’s card in Jane for future use with online payments!
