Jane's Guide Here's all the help you need to use Jane.

Step 1: Setting up Jane Payments

Ready to boost your revenue while spending less time managing your money? We thought you might be. 🎉

First, you’ll need to set up Jane Online Payments. To do this, full-access users can start by heading to Settings > Jane Payments.

If you’re ready to go, click the blue “I’m in, let’s do this” button and follow the on-screen prompts and questions.

Since we will be facilitating payments and transferring money to you, we’ll need to collect some information about you and your business and your banking information. This should only take about 5 minutes.

Be sure to enter the information exactly how you are registered to operate as a business to avoid any interruptions:

  • Are you registered with the IRS/CRA to operate as a company (LLC, Inc, etc) or as a sole proprietor?
  • Company: The bank account will also need to need to indicate the company name
  • Sole Proprietor: The bank account will need to be under your personal name

Once you’re done, you’ll see a confirmation page letting you know that your Jane Online Payments account is set up. This means that you’re ready to start accepting and processing online payments. 🎉

If you need a terminal in addition to online payments…

If you find yourselves processing lots of debit payments and need a terminal to do so, we’ve got you covered! With a Jane Payments Terminal, you’ll be able to link to each of your practitioners’ bank accounts to send their payments to them directly (no need for multiple terminals). 💸 And you’ll also have all of your reporting for online and terminal payments in Jane, in real-time, all on one payout schedule. This means less time spent reconciling payments, and less chance of error from manual entry, too.

The Jane Payments Terminal is available for Jane Payments users in 🇨🇦 Canada and 🇺🇸 the US.

📍Please Note: The Jane Payments Terminal will require a strong, reliable internet or wifi connection to function. Additionally, the terminal will need to be connected to the same network as your device in order to pair. If the device you’re using Jane on is connected to the internet via ethernet, you will either want to switch to wifi or purchase an ethernet dock for your terminal. A dock can be ordered for you by a member of our team, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you would prefer this option.

If you are a mobile clinic 🚙, we recommend reaching out with any questions before purchasing.

If you’d like to purchase a Jane Payments Terminal, you can do so directly in your Jane account after you’ve set up your Jane Online Payments account. Click the blue Now Let’s Get Your Terminal Ordered! button as shown below, and Jane will bring you to the terminal purchase and delivery screen.

If you would like to purchase a Jane Payments Terminal after setting up your Jane Online Payments account, a full-access user can head to the Settings > Jane Payments area of your Jane account and click +Add Item > Order Terminal on the right-hand side of the page.
