Staff Access Level: Admin/All Billing and above
Jane Plan: All plans
Add-on Required: No
Geography: 🌐 All geographies

Instructions

To create a treatment add-on in Jane, follow these steps. Once complete, the add-on will be available to link to any treatment and book administratively. Patients can book it online too, unless you've disabled this in the treatment add-on's settings.

  1. Go to Settings > Treatment Add-Ons.
  2. Click New Treatment Add-On.
  3. Fill in the required fields, including the name of the add-on and its length in minutes.

🩡 Jane Tip: You can set the price or length to zero if the add-on doesn't require additional time or cost.

  1. If you don't want patients to be able to book this add-on online, uncheck Show on Online Booking.
  2. Click Expand next to a discipline to view its treatments.
  3. Select the treatments you'd like to link the add-on to. You can select all treatments in a discipline or choose specific ones.

disciplines and treatment checkboxes for add-on availability

  1. Click Create Treatment Add-On.

πŸ“£ Heads up: Add-ons can only be applied to 1:1 appointments. They cannot be added to Class or Group Appointments.

What to Expect

The new add-on appears in your Treatment Add-Ons list under Settings and is immediately available to book. It will appear as an option when booking any treatment it's been linked to.

Important Notes

  • Jane blocks off schedule time for the length of the base treatment and its post-treatment time, plus the length of the add-on. For example, a 30-minute massage with 15 minutes of post-treatment time and a 15-minute hot stones add-on will block off one hour total.
  • Patients receive a single consolidated appointment reminder that includes the information for both the base treatment and any add-ons booked.
  • Add-ons aren't tracked separately in a dedicated report. To view add-on sales, export the Sales Report and the add-on name will appear in the Details column.
  • Add-ons behave like treatment modifications and won't change how the base treatment interacts with Tags or Resources.
