This guide goes over how you can sync your Google Calendar events directly into your schedule in Jane, so you can avoid double bookings and get a complete picture of your day in one place.
Looking to sync the other way around? Check out this guide on subscribing to your calendar.
Keep in mind that any Google Calendar events will block off time on your schedule, so patients won’t be able to book those times online.
Setting up Google Calendar Sync
Start by heading to your staff profile, scroll down to the Calendars area, and click Connect to Google Calendar.
A new tab will open and you’ll be prompted to select and sign into the Google Account you’re connecting (you’ll only be able to have one Google Account connected to your staff profile in Jane).
When you’re finished, back in Jane you should see the name of your Google Account and a green Connected badge.
If you’ve connected the wrong Google Account, you can click the red Disconnect button and then repeat the steps above to connect the right account.
Your schedule in Jane
Once your Google Calendar Sync is set up, any events from your Google Calendar will show up in Jane labelled: Busy - Google Calendar Event.
If double booking is enabled in your Schedule Settings, then you’ll still be able to book appointments administratively at a time when you have a Google Calendar event.
Setting up a manual 2-way sync
We don’t have an automatic 2-way sync, but we have the next best thing - two separate 1-way syncs!
