Customize how your schedule looks in Jane using the Schedule Settings pop-up window. These settings are personal to your Staff Profile, so changing them only affects your own view and won’t impact how the schedule appears for other staff members.
Instructions
- Go to the Schedule tab > click the cogwheel icon in the bottom-right corner of the schedule.
- In the Schedule Settings pop-up, adjust the settings in any of the three sections below.
Toggle Appointment States
Use the toggles in this section to control which appointment states are visible on your schedule.
- All Scheduled: shows all Unarrived, Checked In, Arrived, and No Show appointments, plus Breaks. This is enabled by default.
- Cancelled, Rescheduled, and Deleted Breaks: hidden by default. Toggle these on if you want them visible on your schedule.
Set Schedule Zoom
Use the zoom slider to control how much of your schedule fits on screen at once. A lower zoom level shows more of your schedule; a higher zoom level shows fewer appointments with more detail.
Appearance
Use the toggles in this section to adjust the visual layout of your schedule.
- Group by Discipline: Groups staff members under their discipline in the schedule view.
- Staff Photos: Shows or hides staff photos in the schedule sidebar.
- Show Weekends: Adds Saturday and Sunday to your schedule view. If you enable this, make sure a shift has been added for those days so your availability is visible to staff and patients. See our guide on Setting Up Shifts.
- Accessibility Mode: Adds patterns to appointment colours so they are more distinguishable from one another.
- Differentiate Paid and Arrived States: Displays paid and arrived appointments in a darker shade of green compared to unpaid and arrived appointments.
What to Expect
Your schedule updates immediately as you adjust each setting. There’s nothing to save: changes take effect as soon as you toggle or adjust them. Other staff members’ schedule views are not affected.
Important Notes
- Schedule Settings are personal and each staff member controls their own view independently.
- These settings only affect how the schedule appears to you. They do not change appointment data, visibility for patients, or online booking behaviour.
