How to Hide Your Location from Your Online Booking Site

If your practice is mobile, virtual, or home-based, you may not want a physical address displayed publicly. Jane doesn’t have a built-in option to remove your address entirely, but you can use placeholder information in your billing settings to keep your address off your Online Booking site and financial documents. Here’s how.

Instructions

  1. Go to Settings > Locations> Edit to the right of the location you want to update.
  2. Scroll down to the Location Address & Map section and enter a location address if one isn’t already saved.
  3. Uncheck Display location address on your online booking site and emails.
  4. Scroll down to the Billing Information section.
  5. Toggle off Use my Location Address For Billing. A new set of address fields will appear.
  6. In the Street Address field, enter a placeholder such as “Virtual” or “Online.”
  7. In the Postal Code field, enter a placeholder such as a phone number or email address.
  8. Enter your City and Province or State (required fields).
  9. Click Save.

đŸ©” Jane Tip: The placeholder information you enter in the Billing Information section is what patients will see on their invoices, receipts, and statements. Choose something you’re comfortable sharing, like “Virtual Practice,” a P.O. Box address, or a general phone number.

What to Expect

Once saved, your physical address will no longer appear on your Online Booking site, booking confirmation emails, or financial documents. The placeholder information you entered will appear on invoices, receipts, and statements instead.

📣 Heads up: Search engines like Google may still index your Online Booking page even when your address is hidden. Hiding your address in Jane removes it from your booking site and documents, but does not remove your location from search results.

Important Notes

  • Removing your address from the Location Address & Map section also removes it from booking notification emails, including the “Thanks for Booking” confirmation. To add address details back for patients, you can:
    • Go to Settings > Treatments, Classes & Group Appointments, > Edit to the right of the treatment, and look for the Booking Information (After Booking) field.
    • This needs to be updated individually for each treatment that requires address information.
