Do you offer mobile, home visits or virtual services and don’t necessarily want a location to list on your Online Booking site? That’s okay, we’ve got you covered!
📍 A hidden location won’t appear on your Jane online booking site, making it unavailable for direct client bookings. However, search engines like Google still index this page, making it discoverable through search results.
To hide your location address from your online booking site, you will want to head over to the Settings tab, click on Locations in the left sidebar menu and then on the Edit button to the right of the location.
Scroll down to the Location Address & Map section and uncheck Display location address on your online booking site and emails.
To hide your address on financial documents like invoices, receipts and statements, scroll down to the Billing Information section.
As a default, the Use my Location Address For Billing will be toggled on, so the first step is to toggle this setting off. Doing so will open up a new area where you can add an address that is separate from what is entered under the Location Address & Map section.
In the new fields that populate, enter something like “Virtual Practice” as well as the City and Province (these are the only required details).
Here’s a peek at what this looks like:
That way we can be 100% sure that Jane is not displaying your location address on your Online Booking site or your financial documents. Once you are happy with your changes, the last step will be to simply click Save and you’re done!
Creating a Private Booking Link
If you would like to offer specific appointment types that can be booked online, but are not available to the general public, you can do this by adjusting your Location settings. With the location hidden on the online booking site, you can create a “secret” booking link that staff can share with their clients directly. If you are a solo practitioner with one location, you’ll need to create a separate location instead of modifying the existing one.
Once the location is hidden on the Online Booking site, head over to the Treatments, Classes & Group Appointments area within Settings. You can either create or edit a treatment and opt them into the New location.
Note📝: Treatments must be set to Display in Online Booking. If you’re editing an existing treatment, you can adjust the Location it’s offered at.
If you’ve created a new location, you’ll want to make sure to head over to the staff member’s profile and opt them in to the new location by clicking on Edit/Settings > Settings.
Additionally, you’ll want to ensure the new location is opted into your Jane Payments account. Check out this guide on Adding a Location to learn more. Now we’re ready to generate and send that link!
Head back over to the Settings tab, click on Locations and copy the blue link:
Additional Notes
Removing information in the Location Address & Map area will also mean there will be no address that displays anywhere on communications such as the ‘Thanks For Booking’ email.
If you need to add any customized language to your booking notifications, you’ll want to head over to the Settings tab, then on Treatments, Classes & Group Appointments. From there, you’ll want to click on the Edit button to the right of the treatment.
Look for the Booking Information (After Booking) to add address information after an appointment has been confirmed. The client will see this information appear on the ‘Thanks For Booking’ email confirmation:
Keep in mind, that you will need to add this for all treatments that require address information for the client.
