What can you expect?
When moving over from another software to Jane, the one thing we like to make note of is the fact that we can’t import billing data. This type of data is quite complex and does not transfer between software, as each software formats this data differently. It’s best to keep any records you need on hand securely outside of Jane.
What we can help you import into Jane is your Patients and Appointments! The following steps will help guide you in getting this data for us to upload into your new Jane account’s import area.
Exporting your Contacts from Wix
To export your contact list from Wix, you can follow these steps:
- In Wix, go to your Contact List.
- Click the More Actions icon
- Click Export Contacts
- Select the second toggle: By Label
- Select All Contacts from the dropdown
- Select Regular CSV file
- Click Export
The CSV file will download to your device, which you can then upload in the import area in Jane.
In case you’re only looking to bring over a specific set of your contacts, the contact list can also be filtered by Selected Contacts.

Exporting your Appointments from Wix
To bring over your appointments, please follow these steps:
- Go to Bookings List in your Wix dashboard
- In the Date Range fields, enter your preferred date range to capture all past and upcoming appointments
- Click the Search button
- Scroll to the bottom of the page to load all of the bookings
- Click Download CSV up at the top
Please note:
the steps above will capture your Confirmed Bookings. If you would also like to bring over your Cancelled, Declined, or other appointments, you can click the Filter button to filter for those statuses and generate additional Bookings files. You can upload all of those into the import area in Jane.

Uploading into Jane
To ensure that your data is uploaded to the correct account, and for security reasons, we do not accept patient data via email. You can securely upload the files to us in the import area.

Once you’ve opened your new Jane account and have exported your data, you’ll want to schedule your import in the account. To get started, head over to Settings > Schedule an Import > Begin:
