Jane's Guide Here's all the help you need to use Jane.

Importing from Practice Perfect

Here’s what we know about moving over from Practice Perfect to Jane.

Disclaimer about our import guides: We create our guides through the experiences we have importing from different software, as well as searching for guide documents from these softwares to assist our customers in transitioning over to Jane. If you have any difficulty while retrieving your data, it’s best to reach out directly to your current software provider.

Exporting your Patients from Practice Perfect

📹 Join us each month for our webinar “Everything You Need to Know About Switching to Jane”. We’ll walk you through the process of moving to Jane and share our top tips so that your import, setup, and onboarding run smoothly. Sign up or learn more.

So coming from Practice Perfect, we’ll need you to upload your Client export with as much detail as possible.

The client list is quite easy to export. There is an export function on the client listing page which automatically formats it into an excel spreadsheet. Make sure you switch the Client filter to opt in to “All Clients” and also enable the “Do you want to export?” option at the bottom of the window before pressing the Export button. This will allow you to export your client list as a .csv file.

Here’s a YouTube video from Practice Perfect’s channel on how to Export your Client List.

Exporting your Practice Perfect Appointments

Practice Perfect will only export appointments in a day sheet format, which does not give us enough information to import to Jane. This means that appointments will need to be moved over manually.

Exporting Charts from Practice Perfect

As far as we know Practice Perfect does not allow for a batch export of all your chart entries.

They do, however, allow you continued access to your account if you discontinue service, and you can download charts one client at a time. Many people who have moved over to Jane from Practice Perfect are accessing the charts in Practice Perfect when necessary and downloading and uploading them individually as clients come in for treatment.

Practice Perfect Billing Data

We don’t import billing information as there are formatting issues between the two systems. Jane has all ICD9 and ICD10 codes already populated but if you have custom codes they will need to be moved over manually.

Uploading into Jane

To ensure that your data is uploaded to the correct account, and for security reasons, we do not accept patient data via email. You can upload the files to us in the Settings > Schedule an Import area.

You can find an overview of this process here: Scheduling Your Import
