Here’s some info on moving your data over from Practice Fusion to Jane.

Exporting your Patients from Practice Fusion
So coming from Practice Fusion, we’ll need you to upload your Patient Lists export with as much detail as possible.
Under the Reports area in Practice Fusion, the Patient Lists report can be exported to CSV for importing into Jane.
There’s a support document on their website that goes through the step-by-step process on exporting your patient demographics: Exporting Patient Demographics
Exporting your Practice Fusion Appointments
Practice Fusion states here that “As a Practice Fusion user, you are entitled to a free export of your patient data upon termination of your Practice Fusion license.”
We have not seen any clinics successfully export any appointment data, as a schedule export is not currently available with Practice Fusion. Appointments will need to be transitioned over manually.
Exporting Charts from Practice Fusion
You do need to contact Practice Fusion directly to have them supply you a detailed chart export that includes your scanned documents/lab uploads.
The self-exported chart notes report only provides basic information and not the actual chart entries themselves.
Practice Fusion suggest you contact customer support directly with this request. They also say, full data exports are typically processed within 4-6 weeks of receipt of the request; however, please note this time frame can vary from practice to practice due to the complexity of the process.
We typically process one import per new Jane account but because of the lag in being able to gather your full chart export, we can accommodate two imports (patient and appointment data first and then charts later) from Practice Fusion if needed.
Practice Fusion Billing Data
We don’t import billing information as there are formatting issues between the two systems. Jane has all ICD9 and ICD10 codes already populated but if you have custom codes they will need to be moved over manually.
Uploading into Jane
To ensure that your data is uploaded to the correct account, and for security reasons, we do not accept patient data via email. You can upload the files to us in the Settings > Schedule an Import area.
You can find an overview of this process here: Scheduling Your Import
If you need any further help getting all set up to run with Jane, just let us know!
Practice Fusion will offer a read-only version of their software to all current customers (customers as of February 2018) who do not purchase a subscription plan by May 31, 2018. In this limited access version, you will still be able to view, print, and export patient records as needed for software transition, yay!
And a note from co-founder Alison to our incoming Practice Fusion clients who are a bit stung by the recent pricing change:
“I know that you are being forced to look around for a new software because of a corporate change from a free model to a paid model. I know that this creates concerns around the instability of your business costs.
Here’s where we are coming from at Jane. I am a co-founder of Jane, but also a clinic owner. Our pricing from the very outset has been based on what I think is fair and affordable for clinic owners like myself. I asked “what would I be okay paying at my practice?”. For this reason, we LUMP TOGETHER part time staff to make full time equivalent licenses, we don’t charge for admin staff, we don’t limit how many users can be signed on at once or on how many devices, we don’t charge for support or import.
The only change we’ve made to our pricing in 4 years has been a decrease in our price for solo practitioners. When we first started, we had a base price of $99 for 2 licenses and then added from there. But the number of solo practitioners that started working with Jane inspired us to introduce a solo based pricing of $74. When we did this, we REDUCED all of our solo practitioner pricing to this lower rate.
We have never offered free trials or free options or even discounts because we support and grow our business off of these license fees. It is not an artificially lowered price intended to quickly build a customer base. Our goal as a company is not to create a user base that we monetize through other means - our current pricing is successfully building a sustainable and growing business and we have no plans to change it.
I tell you this because I think that the heart of our pricing structure is important to understand where we are going with Jane. Our goal is always that you can run your entire practice at the price point of one or two appointments a month.
We do not plan to change our base price for Jane, but should we do so, we would grandfather all existing clients at their current rates. And you are welcome to pay for a year in advance for a 10% discount and a bit of added peace of mind about your rate.
We’re so glad you’re considering Jane for your practice and I hope we get the chance to work together soon.”
