Jane's audio and video settings let you control the quality and source of your camera and microphone during a Telehealth call. If you're using an external camera, wireless headphones, or a low bandwidth connection, these settings help you get the best possible call experience.

Audio and Video Settings

To access your audio and video settings, click the cogwheel icon in the upper-right corner of the call and select Video & Audio from the left sidebar.

The video & audio settings area

Here's what you can adjust:

  • Camera and microphone source — select which camera and microphone you'd like to use for the call. This is where you'll want to switch to an external camera or wireless headphones if you're using them.
  • Noise Reduction — toggle this on to reduce background noise from your environment during the call.
  • HD Video — toggle this on for higher video quality. Make sure you have a strong internet connection before enabling this.
  • Widescreen Video — Jane automatically selects a resolution based on your network speed and device capabilities. Widescreen Video supports up to 720p at 30fps in both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios.
  • Mirror — controls how you appear to yourself on screen. When mirrored, your video is flipped horizontally like a mirror reflection. When unmirrored, you appear as others see you.

General Settings

To access your general settings, click the cogwheel icon in the upper-right corner of the call and select General from the left sidebar.

Here's what you can adjust:

  • Language — select your preferred language for the call interface.
  • Skin tones for reactions — select your preferred skin tone for reaction emojis used during the call.
