Jane's Telehealth feature lets you blur your background or use a virtual background image during your appointments. You can access the Effects menu before joining the call or any time during the session.

Before the Call

  1. Click the Begin button to start your Telehealth appointment and complete the pre-call test.
  2. On the settings screen that follows, click the background icon.

  3. Choose a pre-existing effect such as a blurred background, or upload a custom image.
  4. Click Apply to save your changes.

During the Call

You can access the Effects menu from within the call in two ways:

Option 1

Hover over your camera icon in the toolbar at the bottom of the call and select Background Effects.

Option 2

Click the cogwheel in the upper-right corner of the call and select Effects from the settings menu.

Once the Effects menu is open, choose a pre-existing effect or upload a custom background image. Click Apply to save your changes.

🩵 Jane Tip: You can upload your own custom background image. We recommend JPG or PNG images at 1280x720 resolution for the best results.
