Instructions
To reactivate a former staff member’s profile in Jane, follow these steps. Once complete, they can sign into their Jane account and access the admin side of your account again.
Option 1: Reactivating from the Settings tab
- Go to Settings > Staff Permissions.
- Find the staff member you’re reactivating.
- Set their Role to the Staff Access Level you want.
- Check off the Active box.
- Check or uncheck any additional permissions as needed.
What to Expect
Once the profile is active, the staff member can sign into the Jane account as usual with their existing login.
Option 2: Reactivating from the Staff Profile
- Go to the Staff tab > Staff Profile > Edit/Settings.
- Click Permissions & Commissions and toggle on Active.
- Click Save to confirm the changes.

Important Notes
- Full Access staff members can deactivate their own profile through Settings > Staff Permissions, but cannot reactivate themselves once inactive.
- Only the Account Owner or another Full Access user can reactivate the profile.
- If you only need to grant access temporarily, remember to revoke it once the work is done. See our guide on Deactivating or Deleting a Staff Member for those steps.
- When you reactivate a staff member who sees patients at the clinic (including students), the listed Account Owner may need to increase the number of licenses on the subscription. See our guide on Managing Your Jane Subscription.
