Question
What image size, file type, and orientation should I use when uploading a staff or patient profile photo in Jane?
Answer
JPG and PNG files work best, with a 1MB file size limit.
- Use a portrait layout (a vertical rectangle). Square and landscape photos can appear warped in some cases.
- Aim for an image no smaller than 146x190 pixels.
- Sizes like 300x391 pixels or 750x1000 pixels work well.
- Most clinics use images between 300 and 750 pixels wide.
- The key ratio to aim for is height that is about 25% more than width.
- If your image doesn’t match these exact ratios, you can still upload it. Jane automatically adjusts images on the backend, and this produces a good result in most cases.
That’s everything you need to get a great looking profile photo uploaded. As always, let us know if you need a hand.
