Staff Access Level: All levels
Jane Plan: All plans
Add-on Required: No
Geography: 🌐 All geographies

If you pay practitioners an hourly rate based on their appointment time, Jane’s Hours Scheduled/Booked report makes it straightforward to pull that data and calculate their total pay.

đŸ©” Jane Tip: Looking to track non-appointment hours like admin time, meetings, or vacation? That’s handled separately using Jane’s Timesheets feature.

Instructions

To calculate practitioner pay based on booked hours, follow these steps. Once complete, you’ll have the total hours needed to calculate each practitioner’s compensation outside of Jane.

  1. Go to Reports > Hours Scheduled/Booked.
  2. Filter the report by Location, Staff Member, and Date Range to narrow down the data.
  3. Find the value in the Booked (hrs) column for each practitioner.
  4. Multiply the Booked (hrs) value by the practitioner’s hourly rate to calculate their total pay.
  5. To export the data for use in a spreadsheet, click the three dots icon in the top-right corner of the page and select your preferred export option.

What to Expect

This report shows the total booked hours for each practitioner within the selected date range. Booked hours include appointments marked as booked, arrived, or no-show; cancelled appointments are excluded. To calculate total pay, apply each practitioner’s hourly rate outside of Jane.

Important Notes

  • Jane doesn’t store hourly wage rates. You’ll need to calculate and record each practitioner’s total compensation in your own payroll records or external software.
  • The Hours Scheduled/Booked report reflects appointment time only. It doesn’t include non-appointment hours like admin tasks, meetings, or vacation time.
