Jane's Guide Here's all the help you need to use Jane.

Viewing Protected Financial Documents (For Clients)

This guide assumes that your clinic requires that you sign in to access your financial document. Financial documents cannot be viewed from the My Account area directly. If you’re missing a copy of an invoice, you’ll need to reach out to the clinic directly so they can resend it to you.

You may have noticed that the email sent from your clinic no longer has an attached PDF of your financial document. This means that your clinic has chosen to protect the information within your receipt, invoice, statement, or superbill (U.S.) by requiring that you sign in to your clinic account first.

There are 3 scenarios that we’ll walk through in this quick video to show you how to access your financial document from your personal email, and these include:

1) You’re already signed in to your account;

2) You haven’t signed into your account yet; and,

3) You do not have a client account.

Scenario 1: You’re already signed into your account.

This one’s quick and easy. Simply click the link in your email, and Jane will open your financial document.

Scenario 2: You haven’t signed into your account yet.

After you’ve clicked View Receipt, Jane will automatically redirect you to fill in your unique username and password. Once entered, your financial document will become available to view, download, or print.

Scenario 3: You do not have a client account.

If you do not have an account yet, don’t worry. Jane will guide you through a few short steps to access your document. Just as we did in the first two scenarios, click the view button in the email you’ve received from the clinic.

Then, type in your email address or phone number associated with your clinic. Click next.

Jane will need to verify that the email address you entered is connected to the profile you have at your clinic. Click Send Verification Email and return to your email inbox.

The email will look something like this.

Next, click the sign-in button next to your profile that is associated with the financial document you wish to view.

And that’s it. Thank you for stopping by, and have a nice day!

A quick note on multiple profiles Did Jane inform you that there are multiple profiles associated with your email or phone number? Unless you or the clinic have intentionally linked your email or phone number to a related profile (such as a minor), your clinic may appreciate you letting them know for administrative purposes.

Additional Notes

Can invoices, receipts and other financial documents be viewed in the My Account area?

No - Not at this time.

To give some context, sometimes clinics need to correct their billings after the fact for a variety of reasons — they might accidentally have charged the wrong price and need to credit the client back, or sometimes insurance companies end up paying for a patient’s appointment after saying they wouldn’t.

As you might imagine, things can change quickly behind the scenes, and we’d rather make sure you have the most up-to-date information. So when looking for a copy of all of your receipts, you can always request a statement from your clinic and they can easily generate one and email it to you.
