2-Step Verification adds an extra layer of security to your Jane account by requiring a one-time verification code each time you log in, in addition to your password. You can set up an authenticator app, text message (SMS), phone call, or any combination of the three.
📝 A quick note on terminology: At Jane, we use 2-Step Verification to describe the extra step you take when signing in. The two steps involve different factors: something you know (your password) and something you have (a verification code). Because of that, Jane's 2-Step Verification meets the definition of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). You may see both terms used interchangeably.
