Account Owners and Full Access staff can make 2-Step Verification mandatory for everyone at your clinic. Once enforced, all staff members will be prompted to set up 2-Step Verification the next time they log in.
Instructions
To enforce 2-Step Verification clinic-wide, follow these steps. Once complete, all staff members will be required to set up 2-Step Verification by the date you choose.
- Click Settings in the top bar of Jane.
- Select Security from the left menu.
- Click Edit next to 2-Step Verification Enforcement.
- Check the box labelled Require 2-step verification at [clinic name].
- Select a date for the setting to take effect.
- Click Save.
🩵 Jane Tip: If you want staff members to enter their verification code every time they log in, even from a trusted device, uncheck the Allow trusted browsers to skip 2-Step Verification box before saving.
What to Expect
Once saved, Jane will send an email to all staff members prompting them to set up 2-Step Verification. Staff will also see a banner in Jane and a prompt when they log in.
Any staff member who hasn't set up 2-Step Verification by the enforcement date will be prompted to do so the next time they log in.
Important Notes
- 2-Step Verification enforcement is a clinic-wide setting. It applies to all staff profiles or none. You can't enforce it for some staff members but not others.
- You can check which staff members have 2-Step Verification enabled or disabled by viewing their individual staff profiles.
- You can pause 2-Step Verification for a specific staff member from their staff profile if they're having trouble logging in and can't access their verification method or Recovery Code.
