If 2-Step Verification is not enforced at your clinic, you can turn it off on your own profile at any time from your My Account area.
Instructions
To disable 2-Step Verification on your own profile, follow these steps.
📣 Heads up: Disabling 2-Step Verification could have compliance or regulatory implications and may affect your ability to make a claim on your practice's cybersecurity insurance policy.
- Click your name in the top right corner of Jane and select My Account.
- Select 2-Step Verification from the left menu.
- Click Manage next to the verification method you'd like to turn off.
- Click Remove.
- Enter your password to confirm and click Save.
🩵 Jane Tip: If you'd rather not enter your verification code every time you log in from a trusted device, you can check the Trust this browser to skip 2-Step Verification for 30 days box at login instead of disabling 2-Step Verification entirely.
What to Expect
2-Step Verification is disabled on your profile immediately. You'll receive an email notifying you of the change. The next time you log in, you'll only need your username and password.
Important Notes
- You can only disable 2-Step Verification on your own profile if it is not enforced clinic-wide. If your clinic requires it, you'll need to ask your Account Owner or a Full Access user to pause it temporarily.
- If you've set up more than one verification method, you'll need to disable each one separately.
