To prepare your insurance policies for import, export your policy data from your current software and format it so Jane's imports team can bring existing policies into the correct patient profiles.
- Export your insurance policy data from your current software.
- Export the file in Microsoft Excel or CSV format. Here's a sample policies list for reference.
- Make sure your export includes the following required fields:
- Claim number
- Insurer name
- Patient name
- Include any additional fields available in your export, such as:
- Policy start and end dates
- Adjuster name and contact information
- Injury date
- Notes
What to Expect
Jane's imports team reviews your insurance policy file and matches each policy to the correct patient profile in Jane. They'll reach out if they have questions. Once the import is complete, policies appear in the Billing area of each patient's profile.
Important Notes
- Jane is able to import insurance policies in most cases. If you're unsure whether your policy data meets the requirements, message the imports team through Jane before uploading.
- The three required fields are claim number, insurer name, and patient name. Exports missing any of these fields may not be importable.
