Instructions
To prepare your appointments for import, export your appointment data from your current software and format it so Jane's imports team can bring in both past and future appointments accurately.
- Export your appointment data from your current software. Most software has a reports or export area where you can do this.
- Export the file in Microsoft Excel or CSV format. Here's a sample appointments list for reference.
- Make sure your export includes at minimum the following fields for each appointment:
- Patient name
- Treatment name
- Appointment duration
- Start time and date
- Practitioner name
- Location (if your clinic has more than one)
- Unique patient number (if your current software assigns one)
- Include the unique patient number if available. This helps Jane's imports team match each appointment to the correct patient profile, especially when patients share similar names.
What to Expect
Jane's imports team reviews your appointments file and maps each appointment to the correct patient, practitioner, and treatment in Jane. They'll reach out if they have questions. Once the import is complete, past and future appointments appear on the schedule in Jane.
Important Notes
- Both past and future appointments can be imported.
- Appointment files must be in Microsoft Excel or CSV format.
- The more detail you include in your export, the more accurately Jane's imports team can map your appointments.
You're all set to get your appointments ready for import.
