Moving to another Jane account and only need to copy over a specific subset of your patients and charts? We’ve got you covered!
Our Imports team can help out with a Subset Chart Transfer.
This process differs from a standard Data Transfer, which is designed to copy over all of your patients and charts. A Subset Transfer, on the other hand, is ideal when you only need to copy over a subset of your patients and charts.
To get started, just send an email to our Imports team at [email protected]. Here’s what to include:
- Confirmation that you’re requesting a Subset Chart Transfer (copying over only a subset of a practitioner’s patients and charts)
- Source Account: The name or URL of the Jane account the charts are coming from
- Destination Account: The name or URL of the Jane account the charts are going to
- The practitioner’s first and last name and email address
Once we have these details, our Imports team will outline your next steps and guide you through the process.

What If I Only Need a Small Handful of Patients’ Data — and Fast?
You may prefer to simply export the data from each patient’s profile and upload the charts to the Files section in your new account.
This option is “self-serve” and can be faster than completing a Subset Transfer, since you’re simply exporting the charts and manually uploading them into the new account.
It also doesn’t require an Authorization Form or a scheduled import. However, if you’d like to bring over those patients’ demographics and appointments, you will need to schedule an import in your new account and upload a Patient List (including those specific patients) along with your Appointments report.
