How to Manage Secure Messaging Email Notifications for Staff

Jane notifies you of new secure messages directly in the app. You'll also receive email notifications when you're logged out of Jane. Email notifications are on by default. This guide covers how to turn email notifications on or off.

Instructions

To manage email notifications for new secure messages, follow these steps.

  1. Go to your staff profile.
  2. Select Settings under your name.
  3. Check or uncheck Send Email Notifications for New Secure Messages in the Notification Preferences section.
  4. Click Save.

What to Expect

When you receive a new secure message, a red notification badge appears on the Messages button in the top navigation bar showing the number of unread secure messages. This stays visible until you've read all unread messages.

If you have email notifications enabled and you're logged out of Jane, you'll also receive an email notification.

Important Notes

  • Email notifications are on by default.
  • If you're logged in to Jane, you won't receive an email notification for a new secure message — only the in-app badge appears.
