What Happens to Secure Messages When a Practitioner Leaves the Clinic?

What happens to secure message threads when a practitioner leaves the clinic in Jane?

Answer

When a practitioner's profile is marked as inactive, their secure message threads are archived. At that point:

  • Patients can still view past secure messages but can't send new ones. The thread becomes read-only on the patient's side.

  • Archived secure message threads are not visible to other staff members at the clinic.
