What happens to secure message threads when a practitioner leaves the clinic in Jane?
Answer
When a practitioner's profile is marked as inactive, their secure message threads are archived. At that point:
- Patients can still view past secure messages but can't send new ones. The thread becomes read-only on the patient's side.
- Archived secure message threads are not visible to other staff members at the clinic.
- The Account Owner can request an export of the practitioner's secure message threads by contacting our support team. See our guide on Can I Export My Secure Messages? for details.
