Loading a Gift Card Using a Credit on File

If you have a patient that has credit on account that they would like to share with a friend or family member through a Gift Card, you have come to the right place. :)

Depending on where you are in Jane, you can load a gift card with account credit to be redeemed by anyone who can present the gift card name or reference number at checkout.

Here’s how:

From the Account Billing Tab

  1. Head to Billing > Gift Cards/Certificates and type the name or number of the gift card you wish to create. Click New Gift Card.

  2. Search the name of the patient whose credit you wish to use to purchase the Gift Card.

  3. Enter the amount you wish to add to your new Gift Card then click Next.

  4. By default, Jane pulls up available credit automatically so you just double check the amount being loaded is correct here:

  5. Hit Pay and you’re done!

Within the Patient’s Profile

If you are already in the Patient’s Profile, you can quickly purchase a Gift Card using Account Credit on file from a couple of places.

Receive Payment Screen

  1. From the Patient’s Profile head to Billing > Payments > Receive Payment.

  2. Click Load a Gift Card:

  3. Enter the name or number of the Gift Card you wish to create, and click New Gift Card.

  4. Enter the Gift Card amount and click Next.

  5. Use the Account Credit on file as the Payment Method to confirm the purchase.

  6. Hit Pay and you’re done!

Gift Cards Area

  1. From the Patient’s Profile head to Billing > Gift Cards

  2. Enter your new Gift Card name into the search field and click New Gift Card.

From here Jane will bring you to the Receive Payment Screen as previously detailed (See steps 3-6 above).

Here you will enter the amount you wish to load onto the Gift Card and then use the Account Credit on file.
