Jane's Guide

Here's all the help you need to use Jane.

Online Packages Sales (Beta)

This guide walks through how to make packages available for online purchase and what that experience looks like for patients.

Online Package Sales are available to clinics on the Thrive Plan in the US 🇺🇸, Canada 🇨🇦, and the UK 🇬🇧.

Setting up packages for online sales

Start by heading to Settings > Packages and Memberships. You might notice that things look a little different in here, with separate tabs for your packages, memberships, and settings.

Individual package settings

Each package has a Booking site column that shows whether it’s available for online purchase once online package sales are enabled.

To make a specific package visible online:

  • Click Edit next to the package.
  • Check Visible on the booking site.
  • Save your changes.

Jane tip: For multi-location clinics, we recommend specifying which location a package is redeemable at (if applicable) in the package name or description, since patients will see all available packages for all locations online.

Need help with other package settings? Check out our Packages & Memberships hub.

Clinic settings

Once you’ve chosen which packages will be available online, there’s one more setting to change.

Go to the Settings tab in the Packages & Memberships area.

Check the box labelled Enable packages on booking site.

  • You’ll see how many packages will be available online in brackets beside the checkbox.

You can also choose which Jane Payments account package sales will be deposited into.

Please note that only one Jane Payments account can be assigned for all package sales.

When you’re done, don’t forget to Save changes.

Buying a package online (Patient experience)

When patients visit your online booking site, they’ll now see a Buy a Package button in the menu to the left.

If your clinic has multiple locations, patients will need to choose a location before they can see the option to buy a package. Choosing a location simply unlocks the “Buy a package” button, but it doesn’t filter the list of packages based on availability at that location. You can specify package availability in the package name or description.

From there, they can select View details to learn more about the treatments included in the package. When they’re ready, they’ll click Buy package to check out.

After purchasing their package, patients can go to the online booking site to make an appointment, or head to their My Account area to view and track their package from their Packages & Memberships tab.

FAQ

Can I assign a package to a specific location?

Right now, packages online can’t be filtered based on the location they’re offered. If you offer packages at only specific locations, you’ll want to be clear about that in the package name or description.

Can patients buy a package for family members or other profiles?

Great question! Currently, patients can only purchase packages for their own patient profile.

Can I sell insurance-friendly packages online?

No, only packages with an upfront cost can be sold online, and insurance-friendly packages are set up with an upfront cost of $0.00.

Why is that? Insurance-friendly packages are priced at $0.00 upfront so that patients pay a discounted rate per visit. This ensures each receipt reflects a payment toward the treatment itself, which is what insurers need to see.

Do I need a specific Jane Plan to use this feature?

Yes, packages and memberships are only available on legacy plans and the Thrive Plan, so you’ll need one of those to access this feature.

Do I need to have Jane Payments to use this feature?

Yes, you’ll need at least one Jane Payments account for package sales to be deposited to.
