Hey there,
Rachel, from the Jane team here 👋 I wanted to write a little note about how we came to the decision to retire the Payfirma integration.
I’ll provide a brief bit of backstory to start (feel free to skip this paragraph if it’s old news to you). The Payfirma integration was first introduced back in 2016, when Jane was adding online payments for the very first time. In 2018, we partnered with Stripe and began building a suite of integrated payments features, including a unified solution for both online and terminal/POS experience, that we refer to as Jane Payments.
We’ve heard from so many customers who have made the switch that Jane Payments is providing the best integrated solution to help them get paid on time and in full. For that, and a few more reasons I’ll dive into below, it felt like the right time to say goodbye to the Payfirma integration.
More features:
As I alluded to above, with Stripe, we’ve been able to build an ever-growing set of payment tools that are closely connected to how you already work in Jane. This includes things like pay balance reminders via SMS, automated pay balance reminders when insurance claims settle, credit card collection on intake forms, auto-recurring memberships, and much more.
Having one core payments platform to maintain allows us to invest more resources (more on this below) into ongoing improvements based on feedback from customers like you.
Transparent rates:
With Jane Payments, you only pay when a transaction is completed. There are no annual fees, PCI compliance fees, or additional charges added later. Everything is included in a single, straightforward rate.
If you’d like to discuss how your rates with Jane Payments will compare with your Payfirma rates, please don’t hesitate to ask our team.
Support we can fully stand behind:
With our Payfirma integration, when problems arise, we’re limited in how much we can see or do to help. This has been especially challenging in the past when multiple customers are affected at once. Because Jane Payments is so deeply integrated, our team has the visibility we need to provide end-to-end support, and Stripe has been a responsive partner on the rare occasion where broader issues need attention.
Secure and reliable infrastructure:
Maintaining secure and reliable payment infrastructure requires ongoing investment and focus. To continue doing that well for all of our customers, it makes the most sense for us to concentrate our efforts on a single integration. Jane Payments has proven to be secure and dependable over time, and we feel confident continuing to build on that foundation.
If you have any questions at all about this change, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team. We have payments experts ready to chat with you to figure out how to make this transition as smooth as possible for you. At the end of this, our goal is that you’ll have a better integrated payments solution and feel supported through the change.
