What kind of information is needed?

When it comes to account verification, we’re looking for the kind of information you’d usually bring into the bank when opening a new account. This can include personal information like your name, date of birth, and social insurance number, or business information such as your directorship structure and business address.

The information we’re looking for will vary between accounts, depending on the information you have already entered, and what Stripe needs to verify.

Information Requirements by Business Type ℹ️


All Jane Payment Accounts including Sole Proprietors

  • 📍 Business Information
    • URL (Typically this will be your Jane Online Booking Site URL - if you are on the Balance Plan or have Online Booking disabled you will need to link an external website, Instagram, Facebook, or any other web presence showing the services you offer.)
    • Product Description - what services or products does your business offer?
    • Support Phone - this will be visible to clients
    • Terms of Service Acceptance
  • 📍 Account Representative Information (this is the Stripe representative and not necessarily the Jane account owner)
    • Name
    • Date of Birth
    • Home Address
    • Email
    • Phone
    • Job Title
    • Proof of Liveness

➡️ General Partnerships

  • 📍Company Information - requires Legal Entity Verification
    • Company Name
    • Company Address
    • Company Phone
    • Company Tax ID (Provincial/Federal Registry ID, Business Number or Federal Tax Number)
  • 📍Owner Information
    • Name
    • Date of Birth
    • Home Address

  • 📍Directorship Structure - requires Directorship Verification
    • Name
    • Email
  • 📍Company Information - requires Legal Entity Verification
    • Company Name
    • Company Address
    • Company Phone
    • Company Tax ID (Provincial/Federal Registry ID, Business Number or Federal Tax Number)

Canadian Incorporated Companies will be required to enter the following (note - you might have already entered all or some of this information already):
