No big overhauls here. Just a few meaningful updates that support how you lead, chart, and protect your practice (and hopefully make your workday feel a little lighter).

🇺🇸🇨🇦 AI Scribe Free Tier
We’ve made it a little easier to give AI Scribe a go 👀
This week, we’re starting to roll out something called AI Scribe Free. It’s an easy, no-pressure way to see how Jane’s integrated AI can help with your charting. Starting this week, you’ll find AI Scribe in your charts, and you can get started by asking your Account Owner for access.
So, why not challenge yourself to use AI Scribe Free for a day? A “One-Day Challenge” of sorts. Once you request access to the new Free tier, you’ll get 5 free notes (about a day’s worth of appointments) to explore AI Scribe at your own pace. Use your free notes to:
- Try AI Scribe with real clients (with their consent, of course!)
- Try the default Smart SOAP template or build your own
- Test your prompts as many times as you like in the template builder
- See how it fits into your charting flow
If it clicks and you want more, you can upgrade to unlimited notes for $15/month per practitioner. But there’s no pressure. If you don’t feel ready for unlimited notes, stay on the Free tier and keep polishing your templates and prompts. You’ll have 5 fresh free sessions to use next month.
💬 Already seeing it in your account? That’s because we’ve started rolling out AI Scribe Free to some accounts this week. If it’s not live for you yet, hang tight, it’ll be available to all accounts very soon.

Multiple Supervisors
If your team shares supervision responsibilities, this one’s for you.
You can now assign more than one supervisor to a staff member in Jane. It’s a small change, but one that can make things a lot smoother, especially for busy teams.
Here’s what that means in practice:
- You can share the load by giving multiple supervisors access to the same supervisee.
- Staff can choose to send a chart to a specific supervisor or open it up to everyone on their supervision team.
- It’s also a nice way to support learning across roles, especially when different supervisors bring different strengths.
And as a reminder, Full Access users can add supervisors from Settings → Supervision

2-Step Verification & cybersecurity
October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and we’re shining a light on one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect your Jane account: 2-Step Verification (also known as Multi-Factor Authentication or MFA).
2-Step Verification adds a quick extra step when signing in, like entering a code from your phone or authenticator app. It helps keep your clinic’s information safe with an extra layer of protection, even if a password is ever compromised.

We recently added new, more reliable options to make security simple and flexible. You can manage these anytime under Settings → 2-Step Verification:
- Authenticator app codes: a fast, secure option that works even without cell service.
- Recovery codes: your digital spare key if your phone isn’t handy.
This Cybersecurity Awareness Month, take a few minutes to protect what matters most. Turning on 2-Step Verification is quick, easy, and helps protect your clinic, your team, and your patients’ trust.

- 🇺🇸🇨🇦 Reminder: Jane’s Mobile App for Clients is now live in both Canada and the US! Your clients can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to view all their Jane clinics in one place, book or reschedule appointments on the go, join online sessions with a single tap, and stay in touch with your clinic through messages. If you have online booking enabled, there’s nothing new for you to set up. The app simply gives your clients an easier way to stay connected and manage their care. To make sharing simple, we’ve created customizable, ready-to-use resources you can add to your front desk, online booking page, or social channels. 👉 Check out the Clinic Toolkit
- Manage your patients’ time zones: We’ve introduced a new setting in the patient profile that lets you manage each patient’s preferred time zone. This means you no longer have to walk patients through the steps themselves, you can now make the adjustment on their behalf to help ensure appointments and reminders all line up as expected.
