Jane's Guide Here's all the help you need to use Jane.

Jane's Monthly Newsletter (February)

Hey Jane community,

You can think of Jane as an engine… sometimes we install new shiny parts, while other times it’s all about the fine-tuning. This month, we’ve polished up a few of Jane’s existing features to keep things running smoothly. Let’s check them out.

(1) SMS Updates for Reminders & Notifications

To keep you on top of clinic-to-patient communication regulations, we have some updates to SMS reminders and notifications coming down the pipeline in March mid-May. (edit: we pushed the date back a little so we could add a bit of extra polish. 💅)

Next month you’ll see:

  • SMS reminders coming from a new (toll-free) number for our Canadian clinics and their patients. 🇨🇦
  • Patients will be required to opt in to receive SMS reminders during their setup when they join a new clinic. (This is a simple, one-click action that fits naturally into their setup.)
  • The “subscribe by default” behaviour will change to ensure patients choose to receive these SMS reminders first.

So, why did we make these updates?

We want to make sure we’re meeting telecommunication requirements — especially for locations where collecting consent from a patient before opting them into text reminders is required.

This refresh isn’t designed to limit text reminders. Once a patient has opted in to text reminders through this new clinic sign-up flow, reminders can continue to be sent however a clinic chooses.

Reach out to us if you have any questions about staying compliant with SMS regulations >

(2) Treatment Plans Updates

In case you missed it, Treatment Plans have been getting even more helpful. Since the release of this feature back in November, we’ve been working on some behind-the-scenes improvements:

  1. We heard loud and clear that you’d like to have more than just a single primary diagnosis code on your patient or client’s treatment plan. So now, you can add up to three diagnosis codes! Plus, once added, you can drag and drop these codes into whichever order you’d like. We hope this provides more visibility into your patients’ treatment by tracking their secondary and tertiary diagnoses as well.

  2. We also have a helpful new report in the works. Right now, Treatment Plans provide insight into a patient’s care and progress for their chart, but we want to help you gain insights into your entire caseload. This report (which is coming soon) will help identify which patients are active with an open treatment plan so you can be proactive in ensuring patients are adhering to their plans. Stay tuned for more!
