Test accounts FAQs
Common questions about your test account
We’re so glad you’re exploring Jane.
Below you’ll find answers to some of the questions we hear most often.
Getting Started
If you’re on this page, you’ve signed up for a Jane test account. You’ll have unlimited free access for seven days. And your test account comes pre-loaded with sample data and a guided tour, so you can explore right away.
It’s a low-pressure way to get a feel for Jane before setting things up for your clinic or practice.
Look for the welcome email in your inbox. That’s where you’ll find your login details.
During your 7 days
Not just yet. Please don’t enter any real clinic or client data into your test account. We’ve provided sample data so you can explore how Jane works in a safe, secure way. Any data added will be automatically deleted after the 7-day period.
When you’re ready to create your live account, you’ll go through the regular Jane sign-up process and be able to start fresh with your own information. Our support team can even help you import your data into Jane for free.
You’ll be able to explore almost all of Jane’s features, except for a few. Specific features that aren’t available for you to test out are:
- Email & text messages (but you can see what they look like in our guide on notifications)
- Setting up your own Jane Payments account
- Setting up integrations, including Insurance
- Importing real clinic data
Once you move to a paid account, you’ll be able to access all of these features.
Nope, it’s all yours! If you want, you can share your login details with another member of your practice for them to explore Jane as well.
When you log in, you’ll land on the Owner view by default. If you’d like to see what another practitioner or admin staff member would see, click your name in the top right corner and select “Sign in as” to switch profiles.
Once you’re logged in, you’ll get a helpful walkthrough to guide you through different features. Note, this walkthrough is only available on desktop. You won’t see it when accessing your demo on a mobile device.
You’ll also have access to:
- The Jane Guide with step-by-step help
- Phone, chat, and email support
- The option to book a live, personalized demo
We’re always here if you get stuck or want to dig a little deeper.
What's next?
After 7 days, your test account will expire and you won’t be able to access it. Any data you added will be deleted. If you’re ready to move forward and set Jane up for your practice, you can sign up for a paid account any time.
If you’ve seen what you need and feel confident Jane is a good fit, you can sign up for a paid account at any time. Visit the Sign Up page to continue. You’ll also see a button inside your test account that lets you sign up whenever you’re ready.
After you’ve signed up for a paid Jane account, our team can support you with data migration. As the account owner, you’ll be asked if you want to import data in the onboarding checklist within Jane.
In the meantime, if you’re curious to learn more about importing data into Jane, you can check out our Jane Guide article.
We want to make sure Jane’s a good fit for your practice. If you haven’t already, you can book a live demo with our support team. We’ll walk through your questions together and help you decide if Jane can meet your practice’s unique needs.
You can also review our Privacy Policy if you have questions about how Jane handles data before committing to a paid account.
