It is! Card data is stored with our payment partner, Stripe, which means only a token ever lives in Jane. A token is a non-sensitive placeholder that stands in for the actual card details, so sensitive information is never sitting exposed in your account.

Nope, none at all. The only added cost is a one-time purchase if you’d like to use a Jane Payments Terminal for your in-person payments. Check out the following question for pricing details.

Terminals are purchased outright, so you don’t have to worry about rental costs that add up over time. There aren’t any additional fees outside of your one-time purchase. 

You can order one once you sign up for Jane Payments. Pricing details:

  • Canada: $279.00 + tax/shipping
  • US: $239.00 + tax/shipping
  • UK: £179.00 + VAT/shipping

You can also occasionally find a gently used one at a discount in our Facebook community group.

Yes. If multiple practitioners want to accept payment into their own accounts, each can have their own Jane Payments setup. And if you're using a terminal at the front desk, one terminal can connect to multiple Stripe accounts, so you don't need one per practitioner.

Yes, tip prompts are optional and easy to turn on.

Payouts happen every two business days, with a 12am EST cut-off time so all payments from a single day arrive in the same payout. Funds collected on Monday land in your bank account on Wednesday. If you ever need access sooner, Instant Payouts are available for a small fee.

Everything lives in Jane. Payments are automatically attached to the corresponding invoice, which keeps reconciliation straightforward.

Our payments team handles Jane Payments support directly. You won't get passed between Jane and a third-party provider to get an answer.
