Absolutely! Jane is fully cloud-based, so there's nothing to install, and it runs in any modern web browser, including Google, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, on Macs, PCs, and Chromebooks. Jane also works on tablets and smartphones, and patients can book and access their accounts from any device.

Jane uses the same level of encryption as online banking — AES-256 — to protect all patient data in transit and at rest. Jane is HIPAA, PIPEDA, and GDPR-compliant. All data is stored in secure regional data centres in Canada and the United States.

Jane offers free data imports from most major practice management systems. We bring everything over for you, including appointments, patient profiles, clinical notes, and documents. Jane has experience importing from Practice Fusion, WebPT, Mindbody, Cliniko, and many others. Most imports are completed within a few business days with no work required on your end.

Yes! Jane automatically backs up all clinic data daily. Your data is stored in secure, redundant regional data centres in Canada and the United States, with multiple layers of backup and failover built in. You never need to manage backups manually.

Jane is a cloud-based platform and requires an active internet connection to use. Because all data lives securely in the cloud rather than on a local device, you need internet to access your schedule, charts, and patient records. The upside: everything is always up to date across every team member and device, with no syncing required.

If your internet goes down, don't worry, you have options.

Jane runs in your browser, so you'll need a working internet connection to get back in, but most clinics find they're up and running again quickly. In the meantime, you can pull up Jane on your phone's data plan, or use a tablet on a neighbour's wifi. If you're part of a group of clinics, call a sister location to help manage bookings until your connection is back; it's just a matter of finding another way to get online.
